Breaking News: protest against BoG in Punjab colleges Continue, Students demand taking back BoG decision

MULTAN: The academic activity in colleges remained suspended on Thursday as students and teachers rallied at Bosan Road here keeping the busy artery blocked for traffic.
Led by representatives of the Punjab Professors and Lecturers Association, the demonstrators were protesting the decision of the Punjab government of constituting boards of governors (BoGs) in some colleges.

The protestors demanded roll back of this decision as well as quashement of the first investigation report (FIR) against protestors in Lahore on Wednesday along with action against police which baton charged the protestors who had entered the Punjab Assembly premises.
The protestors said that they would continue their protest till the acceptance of their demands.
A group of protestors entered the office of Director Colleges and ransacked its furniture. A heavy contingent of police reached the spot and managed to disperse the protestors later.
Mohammad Hussain, Director Colleges Multan, told mediapersons said that some protectors ransacked his office and caused considerable damage. However, he said it was not yet clear whether teachers were among the violent mob.
