WAPDA GEPCO employees warn of suspending power supply
GUJRANWALA: On the call of the Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Labour Union, Gepco employees on Tuesday observed strike against the withdrawal of free electricity supply to their houses.
They locked their offices and staged a sit-in to register their protest. The protesters were chanting slogans against the government. They warned of closing grid stations and suspending power supply if the government did not restore their facility in two days.
Wapda workers protest move to withdraw free units facility
TOBA TEK SINGH: Fesco employees staged a demonstration outside Fesco offices on Tuesday to condemn the decision of federal cabinet under which it directed the finance ministry to withdraw free electricity units facility to about 176,000 employees of Pepco.
They shouted slogans and demanded restoration of the facility. They also wore black armbands.

HAFIZABAD: Wapda employees observed a complete strike in protest against the withdrawal of free electricity supply to their houses.
They locked their offices and staged a demonstration. Addressing the gathering, Wapda Hydro-Electric Central Labour Union circle chairman Abdul Razzaq Mughal and secretary Malik Shafqat Mahmood said that free supply of electricity was a right of Wapda employees who would not compromise on it. He vowed to continue their protest till the withdrawal of the decision. Meanwhile, Wapda observed a strike and took out a rally in Jalalpur Bhattian. They also burnt tyres on road, suspending traffic on Hafizabad-Jalalpur Road for sometimes.
