UAF Sex Scandal – security incharge Nasir Masood Promotion case dropped syndicate agenda.
FAISALABAD, Saturday, May 28,2011 : University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) syndicate will not take up the promotion case of security in charge Nasir Masood till the completion of inquiry into the ‘sex scandal’, Dawn has learnt.
The university administration has withheld the promotion of Masood in grade 17 on the direction of ViceChancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmed. The syndicate which was due to accord approval in its meeting on Monday (tomorrow) has dropped the promotion case from its agenda.
On the direction of the varsity administration, Dr Younis, principal officer of student affairs, has launched an inquiry into the sex racket involving some security officials and female boarding students.
Security officer Masood is on forced leave while accused students have also been sent to their homes.
Meanwhile, VC Dr Iqrar Ahmed visited the Khadija Hall and assured female students that the university was vigilant for their security and that negligent and guilty would face the music. He asked students to continue their studies without any fear.
