KARACHI (Monday, April 11, 2011): The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has refused to pay salaries to its 216 reinstated employees.
According to reports, the restored employees were not paid their salaries for past four months.
Affected employees have a lodged a complaint with Petroleum Secretary and Manpower Ministry, complaining against the OGDCL’s decision to ignore Reinstatement Act 2010.
The letter has highlighted the illegal steps taken by OGDCL administration against them.
The federal government has recently restored OGDCL employees, who had been sacked in 1999.
An OGDCL spokesman said that pay release was conditional to the approval of Board of Directors.
