Nurses end strike on getting Sindh govt’s assurance
Karachi (April 3, 2012) – Sindh Nurses and Paramedics staff protest continues for 11th day on Tuesday while patients suffered in most of the government hospitals.
The Sindh Nurses Association announced ending the strike after the Sindh government assured them their demands would be met, including the call to bring their pays at par with nurses in Punjab.
In an effort to support the paramedical staff, young doctors had also called strike for 2 hours from Wednesday. This strike would also be called off after nurses decision.
