Punjab Young doctors ends Strike after 8th Day, back on duty
Lahore (Friday, April 20, 2012) – Punjab young doctors Association (YDA) strike has finally ended on 8th day after successful talks with the government.
Patients finally breathing a sigh of relief after Punjab government on Thursday agreed to meet conditions set by the young doctors.
The young doctors across province have resumed thier duties and outpatient departments (OPDs) have been opened for the patients too.

The young doctors across province went on strike last week on the call of Young Doctors Association, demanding the government to take back transfer orders of their colleagues and immediately revise service structure for the doctors serving under the Punjab government.
After the news being on-aired on Dunya News, a successful meeting was held between YDA representatives and Punjab Government.
Punjab government has now retracted the transfer orders and formed a committee to review service structure for the doctors.
According to details, the committee will present report on service structure within a month.
