Population and Labour force in Pakistan

Pakistan national population at the beginning of 2006 was estimated at 155.4 million people, and the average annual growth rate of the population during 2000-2006 was around 2.2 per cent.
Most of the population is concentrated in Punjab and Sindh, while Balochistan is by far the least populated province. Around two thirds of the population is living in rural areas.
