Pakistan steel employees protest for salaries in Karachi

 

Karachi (Wednesday, August 7th, 2013) – Pakistan Steel Mill Karachi is largest steel manufacturing plant in Pakistan. It is in continuous crisis for many years. Previous PPP lead government mismanaged this public entity for many years.  Now there is no money in the account of mill to pay for its workers.

Last months its electricity was cutoff by Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC). After negotiation it was restored.

Its workers are in great difficulties now a days. They have not paid their salaries for last two and half months.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2013, workers took out to streets. they protest and demanded early payment of their monthly pays.
