Notification of facilities for Punjab govt employees, clerks promised
Lahore (November 29, 2012) – Punjab chapter of the All Pakistan Clerks Association was promised on Thursday a notification of facilities for employees within 24 hours.
According to APCA President Haji Irshad, the promise was made by the Punjab additional chief secretary during a meeting.
APCA members had staged a sit-in in front of the chief minister’s secretariat on Tuesday which was ended late night after a promise by government authorities that facilities would soon be notified.
The facilities include TA/DA, enhanced conveyance allowance and marriage grant, upgrading posts of stenographers, personal assistants and private secretaries and regularization of contractual employees of the provincial government.
Mr Irshad said a summary seeking approval from the chief minister was prepared after an APCA delegation called on the additional chief secretary and sent to the chief secretary.
A notification was likely to be issued on Friday (today) after an approval by the chief minister, he said.
