NADRA employees protest in Peshawar demanded up-gradation and increase in allowances

Peshawar (Thursday, February 27th, 2014) – Employees of  National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Wednesday staged a hunger strike camp in Peshawar, demanding the government to take steps for their scale up-gradation and increase in allowances.

The protest camp was headed by NADRA employees Union Mohammad Saleem Sherpao along with dozens of employees. They were holding placards and banners inscribed with various slogans in favour of their demands. The protesting employees also chanted slogans against the government for using delaying tactics in the up gradation

Talking to media persons Saleem Sherpao said owing to lack of comprehensive service structure most of employees of NADRA retired in same grade. He said he is also serving for last 13 years on same scale, while his colleagues are also affecting under the present situation. But, he said the federal government has turned blind eye toward them and not taking steps to resolve their issues.
