IBMS Agricultural University, Peshawar : Teachers want resolution of problems

In Peshawar, Teachers Association at the Institute of Business and Management Studies (IBMS), Agricultural University, staged a protest demonstration outside the Peshawar Press Club here Wednesday and asked the governor to resolve their problems forthwith. The protesters wearing black armbands and holding banners and placards inscribed with their demands chanted slogans against the university administration.

The office-bearers of the association criticised the university administration for trying to sabotage their peaceful protest. They alleged that the administration had hired inexperienced teachers and was compelling students to attend classes. They also criticised the administration for not releasing their salaries. The protesters asked the governor to resolve their problems as studies of about 5,000 students had been affected. They also threatened to move the court if their demands were not met.
