Employees or slaves?

Lahore (TheNews / October 3, 2012) – Most factories in Pakistan are like concentration camps. Those who work there are denied their basic rights. The majority of workers are not given appointment letters and, in the absence of proper documentation, they can’t claim any benefits, not even monetary compensation in the case of accidents. Workers of industrial enterprises are seldom benefited by social security schemes.

They are made to work for more than 12 hours daily. It seems that the workers in the industrial and commercial sectors are slaves, not employees. The political leaders of this country should implement reforms in the industrial sector.
