APCA Rallies for demanding increase in salaries – Breaking News

Lahore (Monday, May 9, 2011) : APCA took out rallies in Lahore, Multan and Quetta for increase in salaries and against price hike.
All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) announced to surround Parliament House if the recommendations of Pay and Pension Committee would not be implemented.
The participants of the rallies were beating their chests and chanted slogans against the government.
In Multan, the protest rally started from Forest Department building and ended near Circuit House. The speakers said that the clerks were being paid very low salaries.
The clerks in Quetta demonstrated in front of press club. APCA provincial president Younis Kakar said that the price hike has badly affected poor segments of society.
In Lahore, the clerks demonstrated in front of Chief Minister’s House. The protesters said that the salaries should be increased in accordance with price hike and the contract employees should immediately be regularised.
APCA s Lahore president Haji Irshad said that the clerks would surround Parliament House on April 28 if the recommendations of Pay and Pension Committee would not be implemented in the upcoming budget.
