Veterinary Doctors Protest Joblessness in Karachi

Veterinary doctors organised a protest demonstration and a sit-in at the Karachi Press Club on Tuesday against joblessness and indifference of the provincial government towards their profession. President of the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), Dr Bakhshal Khan Tallo, who led the protest, said that from tomorrow (Wednesday) they would sit on hunger strike unto death till the acceptance of their demands, including provision of jobs and making veterinary hospitals functional.

“From Thursday, all the Vets in Sindh would stop functioning to express solidarity with their colleagues, who are jobless, and occupation of veterinary hospitals in the province by other departments and encroachers,” he said.
