Quetta Doctors will Boycott Hospitals from May 26, 2011

Quetta – Doctors will boycott govt, private hospitals from tomorrow (May 26) – Doctors announced to close all government and private hospitals in Balochistan.
Representative of Pakistan Medical Association and Young Doctors’ Association Dr Hafeez along with other doctors held a press conference in Quetta Press Club.
The doctors said that they were protesting for the last fifty days for increase in their salaries and provision of security during the duty but the bureaucracy was using negative tactics.
They said that the doctors’ community was facing economic hardships but the government was not paying attention to their problems.
The doctors said that they would continue their protest and would resume only if their pay scale was revised and made equal to doctors working under federal government.
