Quetta – 66 doctors dismiss on strike in Balochistan

Quetta (May 30, 2011) – Balochistan govt, taking action against strike in hospitals, has dismissed 66 young doctors.

Young doctors have announced to continue the strike. Provincial secretary health Ismatullah Kakar told Dunya News that the government has issued notice to doctors to call off the strike because people were facing problems in the hospitals but doctors didn’t follow the notice and continued their strike.
Resultantly, the government took notice of the issue and dismissed 66 doctors including 61 doctors of grade-17 while five doctors of grade-18. He said that the government will fill these vacant seats within three days. On the other hand, young doctors association has condemned this action and announced to continue their strike.
