PIMS YDA plans sit-in (Dharna) in front of parliament

Islamabad (09 August,2011) – Doctors at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences announced to stage a sit-in before Parliament.
The Young Doctors Association said that the government was dealing with them with just verbal commitments and no notification was issued to approve their demands.
Seniors doctors, working in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, have also called the meeting of PIMS academic council.
The young doctors at PIMS are on strike for 21 days that has aggravated the sufferings of patients.
The doctors are demanding a raise in their salaries and change in service structure.
