School Uniform major issue after dengue holiday
LAHORE (September 26, 2011) : Uniform remained the major issue for students who reached their private schools after a 10-day `dengue holiday` on Monday.
Many students who went to their schools in coloured dresses full-sleeve shirts and trousers were told to come to schools in uniform or pay fine.
The Punjab government has allowed students to wear coloured dresses in the absence of winter uniform in the wake of dengue scare. However, many private schools in the city are not heeding to government instructions.
Unsure about school timings, many parents sent their children to schools early instead of 9am.
However, some parents said the Divisional Public School opened at 8:30am and closed at 3pm.
At public schools like Government Central Model School, Rattigon Road, and Saleem Model School students reached early, but school managements let them enter at 9am.
