Punjab Teachers wants Summer vacation extention till sept 1, 2011

LAHORE (August 9, 2011) :  Joint Action Committee of Teachers, Punjab, has appealed to the Punjab government to extend summer vacation till Sept 1 because of Ramazan as a large number of teachers and students intend to observe aitkaf.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, JACT leaders Rana Arshad, Sajjad Akbar Kazmi, Rana Liaquat Ali and others said teachers were also doing their summer camp duties.
They said construction work was also in progress in various schools, therefore, vacation should be extended to Sept 1 instead of Aug 15.

    the weather becomes worse in last 10 days of august. and only one hard day will be enough to destroy health of many students and teachers. extension in vacation is utmost necessary.

    This will be a write move for the Teacher & students who have to travel for long distances daily to attend their institutions. they will suffer in Ramdan. So Punjab Govt should Issue a revise notification for the extention of Summer vacations up to Eid-ul-Fiter
