Karachi: Notification issued for Non Teaching Sindh Education Staff
Tuesday, March 1, 2011: Sindh Education and Literacy Department has approved the proposal for recruitment of 7,187 non-teaching vacant posts from BPSI-IV in different districts of Sindh, a notification issued on Sunday said.
According to the notification, the criteria for employment will be that entire formalities, such as publication of vacant posts in national dailies and interviews through Districts Recruitment Committees, be observed.
Equal opportunities will be given to those contract employees working since 2007 possessing the required experience and knowledge relating to the concerned posts, the notification also said.
Meanwhile, the Central President, All Sindh Education Department Lower Staff Association, Darya Khan Jamali, told The News that the department of education had the complete record regarding the sacked contractual employees. The government should verify those records and give permanent job letters to these protesters, he said.
“The sacked contractual employees have staged a sit-in outside the Karachi Press Club and we will not leave this place until the government issues notification of the reinstatement,” he also said.
