JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Special Education Department, Government of the Punjab is implementing a Punjab Inclusive Education Project (PIEP) as a pilot in Bahawalpur & Muzaffargarh districts to mainstream children with mild disability by providing them formal schooling opportunities. The project is a part of the Punjab Governments’ initiatives in the education sector to meet its national and international commitments to provide free and compulsory education to all children. A Programme Implementation Unit (PIU) has been established to monitor and ensure implementation of the Punjab Inclusive Education Project. Applications are invited from Pakistanis for the following positions. which will be filled strictly on merit in a transparent manner:

1. Manager (02 Posts) District Screening Team, 1 for Bahawalpur and 1 for Muzaffargarh Age Limit: (28-35 years) Salary (Lump sum pay package of Rs. 39,200 per month – BS-17 equivalent) (along with annual increment of firk)

2. (01 Post) District Monitoring Tearn, for Muzaffarga. District Age Limit: (28-35 years) Salary (Lump sum pay Package of Rs. 39,200 Per month – BS-17 equivalent) (along with Annual increment of 10,)

3. Health Professionals (02 Posts) Location: 01 for Bahawalpur, 1 for Muzaffargarh Age Limit (21-35 years) Salary (Lump sum pay Package of Rs. 36,400 per month – BS-17 equivalent) (along with annual increment of 10%)
District Screening Team Manager will lead the district screening team and ensure that the screening and assessment. of children with disability is carried out responsibly. His/her main responsibility v411 include: o Coordinate the screening activities in the district o Maintain proper documentation of the activities o Ensure provision of assistive devices to the children, if required o Ensure the maintenance of diagnostic equipment o Coordinate with Director Delivery for implementation of initially. District Monitoring Team Manager will lead the district monitoring tearn and ensure that the project initiatives are properly monitored. Hislher main responsibility will include: o Coordinate the monitoring activities in the district o Maintain proper documentation of the activities o Identify a. assess schools that could be made inclusion friendly o Coordinate with Director Monitoring to develop and implement a plan to monitor attendance and progress of children who are mainstrearned o Hire and manage short term field officers to implement the initiatives Health Professional will be part of district screening team and his/ her main responsibilities will include: o Screen and assess the children for malnutrition o Recommend diet and health eating practices to the children 8, their parents o Maintain record of children screened o Present monthly report to the screening team manager for review
Qualifications/ Experience
A university degree in Social Sciences/ Applied Sciences/Management Sciences or any other related field o Has 6-7 year work experience preferably in social development sector o Demonstrated experience in project management and screening skills o Knowledge of local governance including government functionaries in education will be pre-requisite o Must have screening exposure and knowledge o Report writing skills with basic leadership qualities for developing synergies among team members
A university degree in Social Sciences/ Applied Sciences/Management Sciences or any other related field o Has 6-7 year work experience preferably in social development sector o Demonstrated experience in project management and advocacy skills o Knowledge of local governance including government functionaries in education will be pre-requisite o Must have MSE exposure and knowledge o Report writing skills with basic leadership qualities for developing synergies among team members
A university degree in Nutritional Sciences or related field o Has 1-2 year work experience preferably in social development sector o Experience of examining children o Report writing skills o Strong communication skills
Note: i. All the posts are on an initial contract till June 30, 2016, in case the project is extended. the incumbents may be considered for extension subject to satisfactory performance ii.
